Absolutely fantastic food! My burger was sublime. Definitely perfectly cooked and hit the spot. Pretty great menu options. Quaint atmosphere, pretty clean. Bathrooms are older but okay. Would recommend.

Just moved to the area and this didn't disappoint. Great catfish, large portions and attentive staff. Prices are fair. Gooey butter cake was homemade, delicious but there's better in stl. Fries were hot and crunchy perfectly salted.

Got the Jam Burger and was pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure if I would like it, but sure enough it was tastey. Pickle fries were spot on!

Some coworkers recommended this place so, after a long day of outdoor activities at a nearby shooting range we decided to give it a whirl. Atmosphere was small town charm, nothing pretentious. Live local band was playing and doing pretty well. Appetizers ordered included fried mushrooms and spicy fried pickles. The mushrooms were on point and hot (as in heat, not spicy) and the fried pickles were just as tasty. I expected a little more spice, but that was about my only criticism. Main courses was a bacon cheeseburger on Texas toast with, stay with me here, peanut butter and spicy strawberry jam. I know, I know...I was just as skeptical but y'all, one bite and it is now on my "will definitely order again" list. The others had a fried catfish sandwich and a vegetarian western burger. Both disappeared as fast as my peanut butter bacon cheeseburger thing did. Fries and tater tots rounded out the meal. All in all, I now see why this place has been rolling along since 1955. If you happen to find yourself in Steelville, MO and you DON'T stop here, then I cannot be held responsible for the inevitable regret you will carry.

The food was very good. We had burgers and fries and coleslaw. Inside was nicely done in wood design. It was nice outside, so we ate at the pavilion. Great spot to people watch in the shade. It's probably a super spot to drink a few beers and enjoy the scenery. Cool, little old town with some modern businesses. Parallel parking on the street is limited. There are quite a few spots on the side, but it may be a little tight for large vehicles to park.

Such a fun place! The decor is adorable. We sat outside on a covered patio to eat. It was evening n not many folks there. It looks to be on the "main" street, so you could see the shops up n down the street. Very friendly waitress. I'm going back!
